DeepSeek's name reveals the true nature of "AI" — it's not about intelligence, but rather intelligent searching.
Large amounts of data inevitably come with a lot of irrelevant information. The solution lies in utilizing LLMs to extract meaningful insights from that data.
In my opinion, it's essentially still data science, just branded with a more appealing name.
