we used to have an exchange program with the US (duluth, minnesota) at some point - frozen now until the situation becomes clearer. - and i remember this story i was told - that one of the girls happened to have her international passport lost - so she "had to" stay one more month in duluth before coming to homeland kek. i didn't have spare 2,500 dollars back then so never went there. maybe i will visit you one day - and now, thinking about it when i'm 30+ years old - would be nice to be there as a tourist for a month or two and then get back home
