Now they function as sinkholes for our time and attention. 

I wonder: do you think there will come a day when the majority of consumers will pay for phones to actually be virtual assistants? The tech is there. But is the market?

Totally agree, but also, there’s the fact that phones and UX/UI are designed to keep attention.

We choose the apps that go on the phone. I think the onus is on us to select the apps we need most.
