A little experiment following on from Star Wars day.
This is not a rendered animation. Everything 3D that I post is being processed in real time with open web technologies and runs in the browser (Chrome works best).

This combines and AI generated backdrop from Blockade Lab with a selection of Star Wars gifs.
When the page loads the gifs are decompressed into individual frames to create a spritesheet.
The spritesheet is applied to the spheres as a texture and the position of the texture viewport is changed to animate the gif on the 3D material.
