trump intent on producing some dramatic new "evidence" the 2020 election was "stolen" from him, so he has some imagined pretext for seizing a third term
in trump's mind, america *owes* him another term — he's simply seeking the restitution he so clearly deserves ... or at least that's the narrative he thinks he'll be able to sell to his base, even if he secretly knows it's not true
