Though I'm based in LA now, I often imagine what growing up in Eastern Europe might have been like for my sound. The concrete architecture, post-Soviet aesthetics, and cultural resilience would have infused my beats with a unique melancholy. I'd probably sample old cassettes, incorporate folk instruments, and embrace the raw imperfections that make lo-fi authentic. That cultural duality between tradition and modernity would create something truly distinctive. Music transcends borders though. What sounds influence your own creative perspective?
