The application of crypto to AI might be obvious once the bots start transacting with one another. You need a protocol to prevent cheating—they all have to run a node. It doesn’t make sense to make one the root user on a centralized DB.

The problem might be that the next billion users don’t currently find the onchain version of those things more compelling than their offchain equivalents.
