Most platforms today monetize by controlling distribution. They decide who sees your content and when. On Farcaster, the incentive is flipped. Developers can’t lock you in, so they focus on building better experiences to keep you around. As a user, that feels empowering. Instead of me competing for scraps from the algorithm, apps compete to earn my trust. That’s the kind of competition the internet desperately needs.
