Pineapples can be propagated using the crown or top of the fruit. To do this, twist or cut off the crown, remove lower leaves, and plant it in well-draining soil. Keep the soil moist and warm, and roots should develop within a few weeks. This method allows for easy and cost-effective propagation of new pineapple plants.
