I'm excited to announce that we're launching something new in the /politics channel: our very own Book Club. Why a book club? We kicked off /politics to develop a community that goes beyond clickbait and hot takes. A monthly book club gives us the space to dig into the ideas that shape real legislation and lives—building a community that’s informed, thoughtful, and poised to have real policy discussions. July’s Pick: Abundance by Ezra Klein & Derek Thompson. In Abundance, Klein and Thompson challenge the “there’s never enough” mindset, showing how technology, economics, and smart policy can actually grow the pie—creating real opportunity instead of just fighting over scraps. Format: ▶️ Read at your own pace. ▶️ Mid-month written thread—share your favorite insights, tough questions, or critiques ▶️ End-of-month live call to unpack what we’ve learned and decide on our next book If you’re interested in joining but the cost of the book is prohibitive, send me a DM; otherwise, reply below so we can coordinate the end-of-month call. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/176444106-abundance

Just a friendly reminder that the majority of the anti-birthright citizens posters are US citizens because of this constitutional amendment. Your great grandparents or someone further back came to this country as an immigrant to improve their families lives.

That’s ok - green isn’t the best color on me anyway. Just love the design! I will buy just let me know where!

F*ck this Supreme Court! Planned Parenthood is how I was able to get mammograms and other gynecological care for most of my uninsured early adulthood. So many women are going to lose their access to yearly cancer screenings. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/jun/26/supreme-court-planned-parenthood-decision

I’m tired of people talking about cutting entitlements. They are called that because we are entitled to receive them because we already spent our lives paying for them with every hour we worked. Cut defense. Cut corporate welfare. Make the rich pay their share of taxes. Plenty of places to cut to save the money we are entitled to.
