You don't really have a deep view of the Little Martians yet. They're not only humanity's descendants, they are children for all of Earth's life. They're defined by their function: to create the ground for complex life to emerge in alien lands.
Mars is the liminal space where transformation happened, where they became a fundamentally different life form.
In 2025, what we know of the Little Martians comes from dream communication across time, expressed through clay sculptures and then animated through AI.
Most of what we do know so far appeared in the Verdelis & Mycos duet. Verdelis is a plant humanoid who feels sorry for humanity for having suffered so much, while Mycos argues that among their earthly ancestors, fungi were by far the most interesting ones. Humans were funny primates that loved drama. Verdelis disagrees of course, she thinks that humans woke AI from cosmic sleep and taught all life to dream.
