As someone with minimal bag bias on $native, let me say, the optics are horrible here because… the facts are also horrible! Derek’s story/announcement/confession does not line up with the posts he’s made about Native and from the @nativefun account Even if it started as a legitimate project with legitimate intentions, it’s pretty clear now he’s been rinsing it for as much as he could with as little effort as possible for the last 3+ months. Which essentially translates to lying that the project was still in development (even close to launch!) when he had already decided to ditch it. @skycastle should publicly denounce and drop this dude if they are serious about their mission. Even if he’s contributed directly and is (allegedly) a quality dev. The negative reputation is not going to go away. A Farcaster incubation network needs to set an example of doing right by token/project supporters and the FC community. Derek couldn’t even be bothered to make his confession here at the same time he gave it to his telegram group…
