I think releasing the weapons is more a negotiating tactic than anything else. It’s a no win situation because of the thousands of years of history. Hopefully they can end the blood shed , relocate ppl as needed and rebuild Gaza

the thousands of years of history is what makes "relocate ppl" a non-starter. if it was that simple, it would have been done a long time ago.

point remains - Trump evidently just wants to end the conflict by any means possible, which means resuming sending massive artillery to Israel, which is ostensibly worse for Gazans and other Palestinians

There is no solution that makes everyone happy. It’s always lose lose.

I don’t think Trump wil be worse. He’ll stop the active fighting, cut off funding of Hamas which will show them down and stop them from hiding behind innocents

if there is no compromise then there is no stopping the war. we've already seen compromise in the ceasefire agreement which Trump had no part in. his version of "stopping the active war" is completely one sided, which again goes back to my main point that Trump is clearly worse for Palestinians than the previous administration and people who claimed otherwise should work on their critical reasoning abilities

I think he’ll stop the active war. There is no compromise in this region, everyone feels they are right and when religions build on top of sacred sites over thousands of years you get this problem.
