I remember once I floated something like this on my X — way less invasive, just state sponsored Apple Watches, with the fed gov getting to see all the data to learn about the population in aggregate The pushback I got on privacy grounds was overwhelming Fast forward to today and they are going to create The Master Autist Database using every scrap of data they can get their hands on It’s sad because this approach would be genuinely interesting if the people involved were trustworthy. I’m sure there’s interesting things to find when you are able to collect this information in the aggregate at scale https://www.cbsnews.com/news/rfk-jr-autism-study-medical-records/

You're on point with the "if" trustworthy. We're in uncharted territory on this one, and it has many people concerned. Voluntarily opting into research is great, vs having data mined by a government that is wilfully disobeying the rule of law, is troubling.
