“Megafauna 2” Moose the largest and heaviest extant species of deer, it is the tallest and the second largest land animal in North America. Found this moose, around Pebble Creek feeding on some willow. It is hard to show how large these animals really are, they don’t look so big until you see one up close. For their size they also are very quite. I basically walked around some willow bushes and there was this moose about 50m away. I kept the willow between me and the moose while I took these photographs until the moose moved away quickly, and a lot faster than I could follow.
