I think the current issues with Farcaster can't be ignored. While it initially retained a group of crypto-native users thanks to its strong community vibe and thoughtful product design, public data shows that overall retention and engagement have been steadily declining. Daily active users have dropped from a peak of 100,000 to 60,000, and post volume has been cut by more than half. This doesn’t mean the users are the problem—it suggests that the product and its mechanisms haven’t done a good job at breaking out of the crypto-native circle. For any social product, growth and retention are always the most important. Regardless of users’ original intent, the platform needs to give different types of users a reason to stick around. Farcaster’s current barriers to entry, positioning, and incentive design may all need to be re-evaluated.

我觉得 Farcaster 目前的问题不容忽视。虽然一开始凭借强社群氛围和产品设计留住了一批加密原生用户，但从公开数据来看，整体留存和活跃度确实在持续下滑，日活从高点的十万跌到六万，发帖量也缩水了一半以上。这说明不是用户不行，而是产品和机制本身在“破圈”这件事上没有做好。一个社交产品最重要的永远是增长和留存，不管用户的初衷是什么，平台都要为不同类型的用户提供持续使用的理由。Farcaster 的门槛、定位和激励机制，可能都还需要重新审视。我写这段话不是fud ，而是我希望farcaster 越来越好，中文区的变化因为人少变化最明显，pro的热度过去以后，发帖量少了80%，希望项目方能重视。
