In the new cycle, while Ether may lose some of its share of general user-facing to Solana (already happening), the Ether community should continue to work to solidify the network's position as the center of the Internet Financial System (IFS).The IFS is going to become more and more important in the 2025 - 2030 timeframe, attracting even more users to the field than we've seen so far.Solana and other Blockchain will also compete with Ether in the IFS space (which is happening), but Ether still has a solid foundation. It's been around for more than a decade, has brand recognition second only to Bitcoin, has deep liquidity, and organizations can build their own Layer2s around Ether just like Base.
