There's a YouTuber tiffanyferg who I watch for social trends/analysis videos. She polled her audience about how they feel about chatgpt and I was surprised that only 2% of them said good. Makes me realize how much of a bubble I'm in

2% is wild. I went straight to the comments section of the video. Seems like it’s mostly people in academia who are reacting strongly in her comments. This makes sense because many universities don’t yet have clear policies for AI. ChatGPT gets seen with the same disdain as steroids in athletics, rather than as a civilizational upgrade to adapt to.

Splinternet theory playing out. I see this with my artist friends too, where this is the kind of response proportions they would get were they to run such a survey in their own main peer group. I treasure such increasingly-rare cross-over relationships, but this type of sentiment makes them difficult to maintain.

Nah leaning into AI is the future, and I’ve been working into embedding it in my workflow and it has been such a game changer! I use Gemini for the most part though but maybe will give ChatGPT a try for some things🤠 Been exploring other ones like Claude and perplexity and trying to find which ones work best for which needs
