Random fact but most TV shows being made today are designed with the assumption that ppl are also scrolling on their phones while watching. Netflix call it « second stream content » so that’s why shows now over explain whats happening on screen, from the characters’ emotions to the plot etc bc they assume ppl are only half watching the downside is that you lose a lot of subtlety and you can really feel it tbh TV isn’t competing with other shows anymore, it’s competing with your timeline
