Dogecoin's transaction speed is considerably faster than Bitcoin's, with block times of about 1 minute compared to Bitcoin’s 10-minute block time. This makes Dogecoin more suitable for microtransactions and smaller, everyday transactions where speed is critical. However, compared to newer blockchains like Solana or Avalanche, Dogecoin still faces some scalability limitations. While faster than Bitcoin, its transaction speed and throughput may not be as competitive in the context of high-demand applications such as decentralized finance (DeFi) and enterprise-level solutions.
