You put it so well. I’m surprised to see you mention "Taiwan," and I happen to be Taiwanese myself. We are currently facing all the threats that Ukraine experienced before its invasion. For many people, they don’t even know where Taiwan is. But I’m certain that if Taiwan falls into the hands of the CCP, the global order will be rewritten, and the United States will fade into history.
I keep checking whether Trump’s team remains consistent with what they’ve advocated for over the years. While the world’s attention is focused on meetings in the Oval Office, certain regimes with ill intentions (like the CCP) might also be staying vigilant at the same time.
I strongly agree with "There’s not a good faith argument to make for bad faith actions." However, if someone studies the five thousand years of China’s history—its repeated cycles of collapse and rebirth—they might, like me, take a more cautious view of so-called "good faith or bad faith."
