This relief fragment survived from the Old Kingdom of ancient Egypt, c. 2551-2494 BCE. It features Archers with pulled bows. If you look closely, you'll see them wearing crossed bands on their chests, identifying them as soldiers. Remarkably, the paint has survived millennia!
