neat trick: look at something you or others love doing. dig in to how value flows from source to the end of that experience and then beyond use 'crypto' to remove steps, increase pariticipation, shorten time to value, or compound and accelerate inputs or outputs. shifts ideas from 'but why crypto', to 'not without crypto' caveat: it might actually take some work. spoiler: everthing worth doing does

it seems the 'run it like a business' takes on how to build a product or protocol onchain is really just dressing on 'extract as much as possible' fair as a justification if you believe that old models of capitalism are the best we can do with these new superpowers but, humbly suggest, you're missing the plot

more carnival, less casino 'the casino' has mostly turned into a dingy warehouse of cheap slot machines, with the stench of stale smoke and decay, lined with people on their last hopes until they are washed out carnivals have rich experiences that people dip into to have fun. they're full of rides, games, crazy food and yes, often a casino game or two. they have variety. they have weirdness. most importantly they designed for fun, instead of preying on hope here's to the carnival and the freaks building them 🫡
