So likely that the culture of small family continued past its regulatory aspects due to human behavior/adoption always lagging. Which is a reoccurring pattern in many aspects of civilization. Is this your read too?

But that was started in 1979 and continued to 2015. So why only now?

When I look back at the steps I went through to get where I’m at today, it’s easy to realize how messy I had to get in order to have the clarity I now have. It’s like you have to go throw end of solitaire card game before you get to the beginning.

if you think the current "software eats world" is big you're not thinking big enough. this is a literal tech renaissance and we humans will live inside it. the same way the physical world lived inside the human since the last renaissance. you'll have entire corporations running near autonomous with humans just going about their day with minimal thought to things unfathomable. You think an 1800-er would fathom our days today?

not entirely surprising because it's trained "in our image". but it's totally like us, overestimate how much we can do in 1 day, underestimate how much we can do in 1month.

one of the funniest things about using agents for coding is that when you're in the planning phase it'll give you these humble timelines of implementation that last weeks or months, not "realizing" it'll do the task in minutes or hours.

It’s kinda wild that although I have things I need to get out the door that impact my reputation, there is nothing that clouds the feeling of watching my kids experience independence or their own growth. Not even my own ruin. Being a parent is such an odd thing.
