of being, of soul, of body and mind.
I laid bare my lacks and my virtues,
my beautiful things and my broken nights. •

the most intense part of my being,
without asking you to pretend

And still you chose to pretend

It was like a slap,
a bucket of cold water. •
It hurts my soul
that you never laid yourself bare with me,
that to the one who was honest
you answered with masks. ✿
This tears me apart,
it haunts me afternoon after afternoon,
night after night,
and it is no coincidence.
