Median fees are the middle value of all transaction fees during a specific period. That means 50% of users paid more and 50% paid less. 🔹 Why not use average (mean) fees? Because a few super high-value transactions (like MEV bots or whales) can skew the average and make it look like fees are higher than what most users actually pay. 🔹 Why median is better: It filters out extreme outliers and gives a truer picture of what a “typical” user is paying. 📊 So when we talk about median fees, we’re asking: “What does a normal user pay to send a transaction right now?” It’s the most accurate way to compare real user costs across blockchains.

However, when it comes to transactions per second (TPS) across Web3, Solana still dominates! But ETH’s L2 ecosystem is rapidly closing this gap, too. By the end of 2025, I believe Ethereum L2s combined could surpass Solana in total throughput!🔥
