Just dealt with customer support experience that was so clearly run by an agent responding to me. Infuriated me. Horrible experience. Like am I supposed to build my own agent that fights with the customer support agent? At what cost?
IMO, in business you can automate and optimize all you want, but EOD most of the time you trust and love the brands built by people you know and like. Repeat customers are the way to make money and they don’t spawn from trees. They certainly don’t spawn from agents talking to your first-time customers.
Especially if the company is SELLING SUNGLASSES ON INSTAGRAM. JUST LET ME TALK TO A HUMAN.
