Lipemia, one of the most easily ignored abnormality in a clinical setting which is as a result of excessive fat intake, metabolic disorders, or certain diseases such as diabetes mellitus. Infact, Chronic lipemia can lead to complications like pancreatitis or cardiovascular disease. It’s a one to watch out for. Hemolysis on the other is the rupture of red blood cells, resulting in the release of hemoglobin into the plasma which can be due to improper blood collection like excessive force during blood drawing, transportation and among others leading to inaccuracy and interference with laboratory test results, such as potassium and LDH✨
