WHY I’M BULLISH ON ZAMA.
In my opinion, a truly promising crypto project must meet five essential criteria 👇
1⃣ Is the project really necessary?
No matter how advanced the technology is, if it doesn’t solve a real problem, it will eventually be forgotten.
Zama is different.
They’re solving one of the biggest problems in the crypto world: data privacy and the bridge between blockchain and traditional finance (TradFi).
@zama_fhe acts as a gateway that could enable trillions of dollars from traditional financial institutions to flow into DeFi.
Only when data privacy is fully protected will institutions feel safe to step into blockchain.
To me, Zama is like $LINK - an indispensable piece of infrastructure for the future of Web3.
2⃣ Is the technology truly outstanding?
Zama has spent over 5 years researching Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) - and they’re now leading the space in blockchain data privacy.
While other chains only focus on transaction anonymity (like Monero or Zcash), or rely on Trusted Execution Environments (TEE) like Secret or Oasis, Zama enables computation directly on encrypted data, something never done before.
What’s even more impressive:
Zama isn’t a standalone blockchain.
It’s a technology layer that can be integrated into any blockchain, effectively encrypting privacy for the entire Web3 ecosystem.
3⃣ Does the team have the strength and vision?
When you invest in a startup, you’re really investing in the people behind it.
Zama is led by:
🔸 Rand Hindi (CEO): AI & privacy expert, Forbes 30 Under 30
🔸 Pascal Paillier (CTO): orld-class cryptographer, creator of the Paillier Encryption Scheme (I’m personally most impressed by him).
🔸 Nigel Smart (Chief Academic Officer): Renowned professor and PhD in cryptography
Alongside nearly 100 team members, including 37 PhD holders.
This isn’t just a team building a company, it’s a group of scientists bringing their vision of privacy to life.
I feel Zama is their brainchild, the project that turns their dream into reality.
4⃣ Is the financial foundation strong enough for the long run?
Many projects collapse simply because they run out of funds, like Kadena, which recently shut down due to financial struggles.
Zama stands on much stronger ground.
They’ve raised $130 million, backed by some of the most reputable names in crypto: Pantera Capital, Solana Ventures, Polychain Capital, Blockchange Ventures, and more.
This strong financial backing allows Zama to grow steadily and expand the FHE ecosystem.
After mainnet launch, Zama will also generate revenue from Layer 1s, Layer 2s, and dApps that integrate their FHE technology.
5️⃣ Is the project user-focused?
Zama’s primary focus is on developers, the true end users of blockchain infrastructure.
They’re not only fully open-source, but also constantly:
🔸Making FHE easier for developers
🔸Running programs like #ZamaCreatorProgram
🔸Providing tools like : to help devs get started faster
Looking back, Zama reminds me of early Solana -difficult to approach at first, but incredibly persistent.
And in the end, $SOL succeeded. I believe Zama can follow a similar path.
Conclusion
Zama brings together all five pillars of a major future infrastructure project:
✅ Clear vision
✅ Real, proven technology
✅ Exceptional team
✅ Strong financial backing
✅ Developer-first focus
Of course, there are still challenges ahead - FHE remains complex and relatively slow, requiring further optimization.
Other privacy-oriented projects are also evolving and preparing to compete.
I hope Zama will make it happen and become the pioneering project leading the trend of data privacy protection.
P/S: This is purely my personal opinion, not financial advice.
