One of crypto’s biggest problems is perception. Most people still see it as a scam. It’s hard to blame them. I don’t agree with that view, but I understand where it comes from. Every time large numbers of people rush into crypto, many end up getting burned. We’ve seen it again recently with things like Trump coin, followed by copycat launches like Melania and Libra. Moments like these undo years of real progress. What might actually change this isn’t louder education or better narratives, but better products. Prediction markets could be one of the first crypto products to do that. People are getting genuinely excited about them and using them because they’re useful, not because they’re “crypto.” Most users don’t even realize the infrastructure underneath is blockchain. That might be the real path forward: onboarding people by solving real problems first, and letting the technology fade into the background. Trust is rebuilt through use, not explanation.
