yah the article was vv interesting and i think we are seeing the same cycle of "MMOs learned governance lessons and now a new field (AI) is largely failing to respect the established research"! the runescape example was super interesting wrt crypto industry too. i think we've seen a bunch of onchain/dao governance parallels where the rules encouraged cannibalism, and that's what the outcome became.
