this is a pretty fair and balanced take, i like hypersnap but i wanna see FC and Neynar and snapchain succeed, my uneducated guess is that it still accounts for 90%+ of the users and 99% of the name recognition and honestly i don't see hypersnap gaining critical momentum if Neynar fails to attract-and-retain one thing ill add is that imho this risk of "decentralized network, but unpopular and ultimately fizzles out" is an unforced error, an unfortunate danger to the current fork, and would have been completely eliminated if Merkle had built it right from the beginning i remain skeptical of the "make it popular first and decentralize it later" logic... i think dan did immeasurable harm to us all by pushing this line for 3y when we could have had decentralization from day 1 - it took Cassie like a month to launch an open and compatible fork... imagine where we'd be today if FC had been open all along (and we'd wasted less breath bickering about the fully bogus "sufficiently decentralized" claim)
