How not to get scammed in Telegram cryptocurrency channels
This scheme to scam newbies is quite old, but it hasn't gone anywhere and is now gaining popularity again.
Considering that there are a lot of new people getting into cryptocurrency now, everyone needs to know about it.
How do scammers operate?
- Buy out wholesale dead/semi-dead channels on crypto and other directions
- Start publishing useful content and buy advertising directly in Telegram
This is the first stage that all purchased channels go through.
After a while, these channels publish information that the author has an insider about a token that will appear on major exchanges very soon.
Next, people are offered step-by-step and very detailed instructions for buying this token. Sometimes even a video instruction with an actor in the lead role.
The catch is that once you buy this token, you can't sell it in any way. You end up giving the attackers your USDT or BNB, and in return you get a useless token.
