The current unsustainability comes from the fact that many of the latest crypto creator platforms drifted into the memecoin cycle. They optimized for ephemeral attention while ignoring the need for teams and communities that curate, support, and nurture creators and artists.
But culture is always built bottom-up.
Because of that, I don’t think Ethereum can continue being fertile ground for active cultural creators if we keep over-engineering the financial infrastructure while neglecting the social one.
We keep treating this as a market problem when it’s actually a social and cultural issue.
And if we’re building creative platforms that involves social networks, then the social sciences and the arts aren’t optional — they’re foundational.
