This year took more than I thought I could give,
Dreams cracked, faith wavered, yet I still live.
The nights were long,
The silence loud,
Loss after loss, no silver cloud.
Debt weighs heavy
And hope feels thin,
But somewhere small,
a spark burns within.
I’ve walked through fire, but not alone The ashes remind me how much I’ve grown.
Maybe I’ve lost what I once held dear,
But not the will that brought me here.
Tomorrow’s promise hums soft, not grand;
I’ll rise again, just as I am. Surely.
