Packing to move. I am itinerant but was in denial of that. I am going to get rid of so much stuff when I finally get it all consolidated and am able to assess. Mobility is a privilege and unless you are rich the more you stuff have the more inaccessible it becomes. None of it is better than the mobility to me

I've moved a few times with just a couple of suitcases. Lately, I've been thinking it'd be nice to find a home base and somewhere to leave all the things. 

Constantly trying to stay minimalist, or getting rid of stuff, often turns into mental gymnastics for me. I stop myself from buying something I want because I'm afraid I wont use it – or I already have things I don't use, and they just sit there as mental weight 😩

Bad thing is that i was born with a mom that kept all she could "just in case she needed it". I have 1/10 of what my mom has, but i still have a hard time fitting my belongings into a 9 square meters wardrobe, which means i still have a lot of work to do.. even if as being married to a woman, things multiply way faster..

if you have excess in good condition I’ve made a couple bucks on ThredUp. They’ll recycle the ratty stuff too. I just used them as a means to get rid of stuff then flipped what little $ I made to one of their charity partners

only the shock treatment works, right? well my goal is to take out 1/4 of my clothes before winter ends! Some are not even usable anymore, and after all, whats the point if i still use the same jeans and shirt whenever i can?

well, now if we talk about shoes i cant get rid of them as i collect jerseys and sneakers..

I said this to Nastya too but what has helped me is watching people die 🫣 How unimportant soooo much of it is that the person cared so much so about in the end and how much stress it puts on the living to deal with it
