Aside from the AI speculation, I think biggest impact has been over hiring from pandemic as corrected by the mass layoffs (and quiet ones that have subsequently followed)

As someone who hires (mostly SWEs and PMs) for a living, if they aren't working on AI projects/products AND aren't deliberately using AI tools in their workflow within an AI-positive production environment, they are automatically rejected at my company.
