Alan Turing This eminent British mathematician, code analyst, logician and scientist achieved a sweeping reputation with the invention of the Turing Machine in 1936. The machine was able to calculate algorithms using a series of predetermined instructions and could be considered an early example of the digital computer.

What was the first common human and computer language? You may find it interesting to know that the first programming language was invented in 1843, that is, almost two centuries ago. Ada Lovelace was the one who wrote the first machine algorithm for a computing machine on a piece of paper. An interesting point of note was that there were no computers at the time for Lovelace to implement this program on.
