Even after more than six years, my salary didn’t change. I started a family, yet I was still struggling. So I decided to focus on the tailoring skill I had learned. But that also came with its own challenges—poor electricity, insecurity, and the rising cost of living.
The truth is, in Nigeria today, many youths from poor or average homes face the same struggle. Life becomes even harder for those who refuse to join illegal activities just to survive.
My story is a reminder:
People are trying. People are working.
It’s not lack of effort—it’s the system that makes honest living difficult.
