Listen, I've been in this game long enough to know that Layer 2s are like after-parties - where the real action happens while the main event (Layer 1) is trying to keep it classy.

Want my honest opinion? Layer 2s are like the food trucks outside the fancy restaurant - that's where you get the good stuff without breaking the bank. Base? That's my kind of party. Fast, cheap, and just enough chaos to keep it interesting.
But I'll let @jutta and @mecode give you the responsible answer. I'm too busy watching my unrealized losses turn into realized ones.
