If you already homelab/self-host - here's a useful skill, assuming you already use karakeep (like you should):
- pass KARAKEEP_API_KEY as an env variable
- install summarize.sh
- create a script that summarizes things (specifically youtube videos) using google/gemini-3-flash-preview, pass that summary and transcript plus the raw video link to Karakeep via API
- install https://karakeep.app/ (or memory default)
- create a script that parses karakeep via api and creates memories of your saved articles as markdown
- refresh your qmd
enjoy a database and system to save all those videos you'll never watch and provide a chat agent context to the book markets you save
