web3 just has a more intense hive mind.
If I am selling prints or photography services, it's generally to non-artist consumers who have no idea what is "fair or reasonable" and just make an emotional decision based on how badly they want my art or services.
NFT art is so tied to crypto charts and speculation that mean and median prices and the artists' perceived long term potential in the space matters much more than simple emotional aesthetic appeal to potential collectors.
