Interesting I think you @timdaub.eth and @vitalik.eth both make some good points. I've been using and advocating for all these for years (Arch Linux, GrapheneOS, Signal, Proton etc) so for me it's self-evident and natural. However, I used to be passionate about building open and private systems, now all my creative energy is consumed by working on ensuring me and my family survive war, destruction and collapse of civilization. So my point is those who agree are already using these systems so them you don't have to convince, while those who don't are extremely preoccupied with the growing darkness of the world to care about MacOS vs Arch for example.
