Germany’s strong banking sector and finance system have played a huge role in its economic success. Despite the occasional scandal with Deutsche Bank, the overall stability of the financial system gives Germany an edge over many other economies. I wonder, though, if the increasing shift to digital finance will change the role of traditional banking.
