Zama @zama is an open-source cryptography startup building practical Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) solutions. In simple terms, FHE allows data to be processed while it's still encrypted, without needing to decrypt it first greatly enhancing privacy and security.
Their products include tools like **Concrete-ML** for privacy-preserving AI (letting you run AI models on encrypted data) and **FHEVM**, a blockchain protocol enabling Ethereum smart contracts to securely process encrypted data directly.
Recently valued at over \$1 billion, Zama aims to create an encrypted internet ("HTTPZ") and plans to launch their confidential blockchain protocol on Ethereum and other blockchains soon. Basically, Zama makes privacy on blockchain and AI much more powerful and user-friendly.
