Targeting agents of Israel is not a hate crime. It’s a politically motivated crime. This dudes manifesto doesn’t talk about the Jews. It talks about Israel and their attacks on Gaza. Clear as day that this wasn’t motivated by religion.

I hate this take so much and can't emphasize how wrong and bad it is. 

You don't really believe it either (or at least I hope you dont) because by your logic since the state represents the entire religion that any crimes the state does is done in the name of the religion as a whole. Or that netanyahu should be a pope equivalent of the Jewish religion.
