Having ran Pinata since 2018, my biggest question I ask myself when interacting with others is how they can understand something if they haven't felt the consequences of their earlier decisions? Startups that pivot early, corporate climbers that job hop, etc. Almost 8 years in, I've felt the pain of earlier decision making that took 5 years to come home to roost. If you pivot in 6 months in or job hop within 2 years, the consequences of your decision making lands on someone else and you don't get the benefit of learning from your mistakes. Wisdom is hard earned by experiencing things overtime.
