in that area(kibbutz merom golan to be exact) the coldest temperature in israel’s history was recorded. it was on January 10th, 2015 and the temperature stood at -14.2C(6.4F), which is very impressive considering the fact the average temperature here in israel has been on a constant rise over the past two decades thanks to global warming. of course, as expected with israel’s climate, this record low came with a winter storm, during which i saw snow, but nowhere near as much as i wanted.
