India climbs from 126th to 118th in the 2025 World Happiness Report, scoring 4.389. While happiness rises, literacy remains low, ranking around 166th globally at 76%, with a gender gap favoring men (82.4%) over women (65.8%). Progress in one area, but much to be done in education.
