Gatekeeping on channels needs to go away. Becoming a member of channels should be easy.

That itself will solve the cold start problem to a large extent.

And if channels want membership rules, cura also gives them the ability to set up auto-invite rules so folks can join smoothly.

You need to request mods to make you a member. Some channels have done a better job by asking to mint a pass ex. /memes

It should be the default, then for a few channels that truly need it there can be a case for filtering casts and members

Agreed with You, Barriers are never good for consolidate communities, applies to IRL.

That's the reason I only cast in few channels only
